Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited (BHEL), a government of India undertaking, has floated a tender for a module cleaning system for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s (GSECL) 75 MW solar project at Dhurvaran, Gujarat.
The last date for the submission of bids is February 1, 2021. BHEL did not specify any earnest money deposit requirements.
The scope of work includes designing and installing an effective module cleaning system for the project, providing a water supply system, supplying all parts for the module cleaning system as per the bill of materials, and operations and maintenance (O&M) services for three months after its commissioning.
To be eligible to participate in the competitive bidding process, applicants must have experience completing similar work in the last five years. The work must have entailed the supply, installation, and testing of the solar photovoltaic module cleaning systems or systems involving water washing or cleaning systems.
The experience must have included laying pipelines and accessories, installing a pump station, and pressure testing the entire system. Alternatively, they must have executed balance of system (BoS) or O&M services for solar projects involving supply, installation, and commissioning.
Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹15 million over the last three financial years, which must be certified by a chartered accountant.
In November 2020, BHEL had invited bids to install a module cleaning system for NTPC’s 22 MW floating solar project at the Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project at Kayamkulam in Kerala. Earlier the company had issued a tender for the supply of module cleaning systems for 50 MW of solar projects located at Koudgaon, Osmanabad, in Maharashtra.
